  • ECFE en Espanol (Edades 0-5 Anos) Clase Por Separado

Our goal is to serve as many families, especially new families as much as possible. In order for new families to have the opportunity to enroll in our courses we ask that you please only enroll for 1 class at this time. If you are enrolling more than 1 child you will need to do multiple enrollments per child. All of our ECFE registrations are individual per child. Toddlers and two-year-olds are full of energy during this busy age. Parents may find themselves searching for valuable resources to understand and address their child's growing development. Our parent educator will facilitate conversations on the joys and challenges of parenting a toddler while building their relationship with children at this age of development. Parent-child time will kick off each class, followed by an informal parent discussion led by a licensed parent educator exploring different topics like developmentally appropriate language, potty training, challenging behaviors and emotions, different parenting styles and much more! Children can explore the room under the supervision of an Early Childhood Teacher during that time with developmentally appropriate activities to support the child in their learning journey! Registration for this course is individual per child being enrolled. If you are enrolling 2 children, you will be completing 2 enrollments. Please help us learn about your child and family. We ask that you provide as much detailed information as possible so that we can most effectively meet your child's needs. Additionally, as part of Fridley Public Schools some of the information we are requesting is personally identifying data about your family that is similar to the data collected from students enrolled in kindergarten through 12th grade. All data provided is protected by state and federal education data privacy laws. Only aggregated information will be published that DOES NOT identify individual children, neither you or your child will be identified in any published report. The information from this data will help the Minnesota Department of Education show how investments in young children pays out in the future as a way to increase reading and math scores, as well as, leading to lifelong success.

In this two-hour class, parents separate after the first hour for a discussion about the book: Raising Antiracist Children: A Practical Parenting Guide by Britt Hawthorne. Raising antiracist children is a noble goal for any parent, caregiver, or educator, but it can be hard to know where to start. Let Britt Hawthorne—a nationally recognized teacher and advocate—be your guide. Raising Antiracist Children acts as an interactive guide for strategically incorporating the tools of inclusivity into everyday life and parenting. This class begins with parent/child group time, then a book discussion as parents and children separate into different rooms. The children will then be able to free play with many different activities led by a licensed ECFE Teacher and Para staff. Please help us learn about your child and family. We ask that you provide as much detailed information as possible so that we can most effectively meet your child's needs.
