Seussical JR Fridley Community Theatre Youth Production (Ages 9-15)
Students will learn music, dialogue and choreography for a fully staged production with set, lights and costumes. Everyone who enrolls will perform on stage. Rehearsals will be from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm June 10-June 28 M-F with no rehearsal on June 19. Performances will be June 28 at 7:00 pm and June 29 at 2:00 pm. Participants will need to audition for cast roles on either Friday, May 17 from 5-8 pm or Saturday, May 18 from 10 am to 1 pm. Expect to participate for the entire three hour period. Bring a water bottle and clothing appropriate for movement to the audition. No Flipflops. Signup information for auditions will be sent to all enrolled participants by the end of April.Please bring a snack, pencil and water bottle to each rehearsal. Attendance is expected at every rehearsal. Due to the small number of rehearsals, missing any of them will hurt the students performance and hinder the momentum of the production for the rest of the participants. Performers are also expected to be involved with strike for about 90 minutes after the last performance.Do not sign up for the program is you will be attending any other camp, activity or vacation. Medical appointments must be scheduled for periods outside of rehearsal. If you anticipate any absence, please contact Dan.Wold@Fridley.k12.mn.us to ensure that your plans do not conflict with the needs of the production. Historical Martial Arts - Longsword
St. Paul Freifechter is a non-profit (501c3) organization dedicated to the study and practice of Historical Martial Arts. This session's emphasis is longsword, as it appears in the published works of Joachim Meyer (ca. 1537–1571), a Freifechter (Free Fencer) who lived in Strasbourg in the 16th century. The study group is led by founder, head instructor, and president, Scott MacDonald. Scott holds the rank of Fechter in both Longsword and Dussack. Requirements - 2 months of previous historical fencing experience, with a focus on longsword.

Conquer Ninja Rec Team

Ninja Obstacle Training is extremely popular with kids and is a fun, unique way to develop confidence, strength, endurance, balance, and friendships! Sign up today to see how Ninja is easily one of the fastest growing sports today! Not only is it the fastest growing sport, but it is the fastest growing cross- training sport as well. Athletes benefit from training in agility, power, perseverance, and resilience; attributes that all athletes strive to improve. Our Conquer Rec Team is designed for youth, ages 6-12 of all experience levels. Our Rec Team will practice on real obstacles inspired by the tv show such as warped walls, salmon ladders, tilting ladders and so much more during their weekly practice. Rec Team members will learn the styles and techniques to develop their Ninja Skills with over 40 different obstacles! This 8 week long Rec Team consists of 6 practices and 2 competitions (week 4 and week 8). Registration closes a week before the class begins, don't hesitate to sign up today!

Fridley Girls Summer Volleyball Camp (Grades 4-9)

This is a great introduction to begin and/or continue learning the game of volleyball. We will have varsity coaches, former players and guest coaches working the camp. This camp is designed to build on and/or teach the fundamentals that players will use as they advance. The skills covered will focus on what is needed to be successful in volleyball as well as learning more advanced skills needed for the next level. Students will also break off into ability groups and work on advanced skills as appropriate. Players should dress accordingly; tennis shoes, shorts, and a t-shirt (NO TANK TOPS!). Players should also bring a water bottle.

Future Tiger Basketball Camp (Grades K-4)

This is a great introduction to begin and continue learning the game of basketball. Each student will learn the basic fundamentals of the game: Running, pivoting, passing, ball handling, catching, jumping, and shooting. There will be a lot of shooting and dribbling games along with games of 1 on 1 up to 4 on 4. The High School Boys' and Girls' Varsity Coaches, Bryce Richter and Drew Reiter along with assistant coaches will run camp along with current varsity players. Each student will receive a camp shirt and basketball prizes.

Increase flexibility, problem-solving, and coordination that can be transferred into ninja levels testing or enhance other athletic performances. This summer give your child an American Ninja Warrior Experience! Young Ninjas develop strength and agility during this camp by learning different styles and techniques to master all obstacles! This camp transfers well into ninja levels testing or enhances other athletic performances. All camps are coached by an experienced Ninja Trainer. This camp runs through the summer. Swimming Club (Grades 6-12)

Led by the coaching staff of Fridley Girls' and Boys' Swimming teams, this is a club where competitive swimming is the focus. All competitive strokes will be taught with an emphasis on individual improvement. Attendance is not required. No Swimming Club the week of July 4.

Tennis (Grades 3-12)

Come join Fridley Varsity Girls’ Tennis Coach, Aaron Quach, for a challenging and fun camp! Compared to club prices, this program is a bargain. Aaron Quach is also a club professional instructor who will instruct students in all aspects of tennis from stroke improvement, agility and fitness to tennis match strategy. This camp will benefit both the beginner and accomplished tennis player. Bring a racket if you have one, if not we can supply one for use. Rainouts will not be rescheduled. If ever in doubt due to weather please call the Tennis Hotline: (763) 502-5112 – 30 minutes before class. No class on June 19 or the week of the 4th of July.

Tiger Boys & Girls Basketball (Grades 5-8)

This camp is for Tiger Basketball players, or interested players, entering grades 5, 6, 7, and 8. The camp will stress fundamentals, individual basketball skills, shooting form, passing, screening, cutting, and ball handling. Team play will consist of 2 on 2, 3 on 3, 4 on 4, and 5 on 5 transition games. The High School Boys' and Girls' Varsity Coaches, Bryce Richter and Drew Reiter along with assistant coaches will run camp along with current varsity players. We can work out schedule conflicts with the Summer Strength Training Program. Each student will receive a camp shirt and basketball prizes. There is no camp on June 19th in honor of the Juneteenth holiday.
