Fridley Wrestling Summer Sessions Series
Sports & Fitness
Stay active and sharpen your skills this summer with Fridley Wrestling! These practices are open to students in grades K–12 and are a great opportunity for wrestlers of all experience levels to build technique, improve conditioning, and grow their confidence on the mat. Sessions will be led by Fridley coaches and may also feature guest clinicians. Whether you are new to wrestling or looking to stay strong in the offseason, these practices offer a fun and supportive way to keep developing your skills. Registration is not required.

Fridley Wrestling Summer Camp
Sports & Fitness
Take your wrestling skills to the next level at this exciting 3-day summer camp for students in grades K–12. Led by Fridley coaches and featuring clinicians from the University of Minnesota Gophers wrestling program, this camp will give wrestlers the chance to learn new techniques, build strength and confidence, and experience high-level instruction in a fun and challenging environment. This is a great opportunity for both new and returning wrestlers to stay active, improve their skills, and grow their love of the sport.

Tiger Hoops Free Spring Mini-Camp

Get ready to hit the court with Tiger Hoops! This free spring mini-camp is for students in grades 5–8 who want to build their basketball skills, connect with teammates, and get ready for summer basketball. Players will work on fundamentals, shooting form, passing, cutting, ball handling, teamwork, and game-based skills in a fun and active setting. This is a great opportunity for Tiger Basketball players and interested players to sharpen their skills before the full Tiger Boys & Girls Basketball Summer Camp in June. Mini-Camp Schedule: Grades 7–8: Tuesday, June 2, 3:15–4:30 PM Grades 5–6: Thursday, June 4, 3:15–4:30 PM Location: Fridley Middle School Front Gym Cost: Free Need transportation after mini-camp? Fridley Community Theatre Presents: High School Musical Theatre Summer Intensive Experience

PROGRAM, ENROLLMENT & AUDITION INFORMATION: High School Musical Theatre Summer Intensive Experience performing the musical Dear Evan Hansen. The program is for students that are entering 9th grade up to having just graduated from high school in the current year who are passionate about singing, dancing and performing. Students will learn music, dialogue and choreography for a staged production with set, lights and costumes. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or new to musical theater, this program will help you grow as an artist and gain valuable stage experience in a supportive and creative environment. Everyone who enrolls will perform on stage in a role. The ensemble will be expanded in this production. PERFORMANCES DATES: June 25, 26 & 27 at 7:00 pm at Fridley HS Auditorium REHEARSALS: May 5-6, 11,13, 18-19, 27-28 (4-6pm) - only 2 times per week in May June 15-18, 22-25 (M-F) 9:00 am - 12:30 pm (16 total) at Fridley HS Auditorium Attendance is expected at every rehearsal. Due to the small number of rehearsals, missing any of them will hurt the students’ performance and hinder the momentum of the production for the rest of the participants. Do not sign up for the program if: You are attending any other camp, activity or vacation that conflicts with multiple dates. Medical appointments must be scheduled for periods outside of rehearsal. Absences will affect casting of roles. If you anticipate any absence, please contact jjjohnson@isd14.org or wold@isd14.org to ensure that your plans do not conflict with the needs of the production. Theater Lab: Acting, Improv & Performance (Grades 5–8)

Step into the spotlight and discover your voice on stage! In this high-energy, supportive theater experience, students will explore the foundations of acting through monologues, scene work, and improvisation. Whether you’re brand new to theater or already love performing, this camp is designed to build confidence, creativity, and collaboration. Led by teaching artists connected to Mosaic Performing Arts, a community-centered organization known for youth theater training and inclusive performance spaces, this camp focuses on both skill-building and joyful expression. Students will learn how to develop characters, make strong acting choices, think on their feet in improv, and work as an ensemble. Instruction is guided by experienced theater educator Emma Hoyhtya, whose work centers on helping young performers feel safe, seen, and empowered on stage. Emma brings a balance of structured learning and play, creating an environment where students can take risks, try new things, and grow as performers. Throughout the week, participants will: Explore monologue performance and character development Practice scene acting with partners and small groups Build confidence through improvisation games and exercises Learn stage presence, projection, and storytelling skills Collaborate as an ensemble in a supportive, inclusive environment The camp will conclude with a final showcase for friends and family, where students will share selected monologues, scenes, and improv work from the week. No prior experience needed—just a willingness to try, play, and perform.
