Supporting a Balanced and Well Connected Life Through Active Aging
Curious about yoga but not sure where to start? This welcoming, beginner-friendly class is the perfect place to begin.
Led by experienced instructor Debomita Basu, this one-time session introduces the foundations of yoga and mindfulness in a supportive, low-pressure environment. Participants will be guided through a gentle flow that focuses on breath awareness, basic alignment, and simple strength-building movements.
In addition to practicing together, you’ll leave with practical tools and strategies you can use to build or deepen your own yoga practice at home. Whether your goal is stress relief, increased flexibility, or simply trying something new, this class is designed to meet you where you are.
If you’re interested in continuing your practice after this session, participants will have the opportunity to explore additional offerings with long-time Community Education instructor Michael Ledman or continue learning with Debomita Basu at her studio location.
No prior experience needed. All bodies and abilities are welcome.
