St. Paul Freifechter is a non-profit (501c3) organization dedicated to the study and practice of Historical Martial Arts. This session's emphasis is longsword, as it appears in the published works of Joachim Meyer (ca. 1537–1571), a Freifechter (Free Fencer) who lived in Strasbourg in the 16th century. The study group is led by founder, head instructor, and president, Scott MacDonald. Scott holds the rank of Fechter in both Longsword and Dussack. Requirements - 2 months of previous historical fencing experience, with a focus on longsword. Masks and COVID vaccinations required for participation.
