Supporting a Balanced and Well Connected Life Through Active Aging
Class will be held outdoors at the nursery and gardens for real-life instruction. Successful landscaping makes our homes more attractive and comfortable. Framing the house with evergreens and flowering shrubs, keeping the yard cool with shade trees and creating privacy with living screens are some of the practical improvements landscaping can bring to outdoor living. Unusual and rare plants can be seen growing here, adding another layer of interest summer and winter. Two acres of gardens overlook Rice Creek. Participants are encouraged to bring photos of their home from the street and from their favorite window in the back for landscape suggestions to be discussed in the class.
